Wife and MUM 10/2011

Sunday 27 March 2011

Today is Sunday and Irene goes to church on Sunday.

She gets up early, Climbs up the stairs to the room where her grandson is sleeping. Checks on him to see whether he needs to be changed, fed, etc. (I really do not know what it is she checks. Nevertheless, Irene sometimes say "You naughty boy. You piss and now my dress needs to be changed")

Then she gets down stairs, fill up the kettle and boils water. She would probably wash the cloths and make breakfast. Occasionally there would be sound of breaking glass. If there is a shout "Ai ya, why so clumsy?" the chances is that her daughter has broken a plate or something. If there is no shout, only silence, the probability that Irene had drop a plate us great. (By the way , please do not report this back to her)

Then she climbs up the stairs again, and prepares to bath her grandson. (To be fair, Jade, her daughter - my daughter also lah - is alongside her mother doing what needs to be done) Then they bath Benjamin and dress him up in his best Sunday attire. After which Irene will stand back and say "Em. Handsome Boy. You look so handsome" I wonder which grandma do not see their grandson as handsome. This is what is gracious about a grandmother - all grandsons are handsome and all grand-daughters are beautiful.

Today is my second day of attending the Certificate in the Clinical Use of Hypnosis. A good course but let’s talk about Irene. Because I need to attend the course, I sent Irene to church at approximately 9am, and she stays there, attends the 11.15 am service, have her lunch at 1pm at the church canteen. Then chit chat with her friends until about 1.30 pm, get to the classroom and arranges the chairs for the choir practice. The choir practice ends at around 3.45 pm and she then waits for me to pick her after my course. I arrived at approximately 5.30pm and then we go home.

WOW! It takes patience to do all those chores.

No 10 attribute of a great wife:  Patience.

Cheers.
See you next week.
